Saddle Brook Travel Soccer Overview
For those players looking to play in a competitive environment Saddle Brook also runs Travel Soccer Program that participates in the Northern Counties Soccer Association League which is a high level competitive Club soccer league.
In this program, the focus is on the development of player skills and provides players the option to play in a league striving for the highest level of soccer competition. These teams will be selected based upon the skill, desire, and dedication of the player. There will be at least two tryouts for each team held in April-May and it is strongly encouraged that players attend all tryouts.
Players participating in the Travel program are still expected to play in Saddle Brook Recreation Soccer. Our Recreation coaches are advised and understand that the Travel/Select practices have priority, especially the trainer-led sessions. Saddle Brook Soccer encourages all Travel/Select players to attend at least one Recreation practice per week and they must play in the Recreation games.
- Teams will play in the Northern Counties Soccer league NCSA, see www.ncsanj.com
- Year-round commitment starting in mid-August ending in late June with scheduled breaks in December-January.
- Typically 10 games per season, 5 home and 5 away, NCSA Cup
- Minimum training at least once weekly in Fall and Spring.
- Travel to away games does not exceed 1 hour -Travel throughout Northern New Jersey, usually within a 30 minute radius from Saddle Brook
- Tryouts are held in April-May for soccer year that begins in mid-August
- The program is ideal for players who want to be a part of a travel team
- Uniform cost is separate and must be ordered by the parents from soccer.com
